DUES INCREASE JULY 1, 2020 - (5/1/2019)
Effective July 1st, 2019 thru December 31, 2020 a dues increase goes into effect, our next schedule January 1, 2021 is To Be Determined.

Due to a Per Capita Tax increase of 50¢ per month by our International, and the May 1, 2019 wage increase to the Master Agreement; and per the Local 9 By-Laws and International Constitution, there will be a dues increase of $2.50 effective July 1, 2019. The monthly union dues for members of Local 9 are as follows:

The monthly union dues for members of Local 9 are as follows:
ALL DUES ARE SUBJECT TO INCREASE 1/1/2021.
- Journeyman and Apprentice operators: (earning over $24.78 per hour:) 7/1/2019-6/30/2020
$89.50 – monthly union dues or $268.50 per quarter (active member)
- Journeyman and Apprentice operators: (earning over $25.54 per hour:) 7/1/2020-12/31/2020
$92.50 – monthly union dues or $277.50 per quarter (active member)
OR
- Journeyman and Apprentice operators: (earning less than $24.78 per hour:) 7/1/2019-6/30/2020
$77.80 – monthly union dues or $233.40 per quarter (active member)
- Journeyman and Apprentice operators: (earning less than $25.54 per hour:) 7/1/2020-12/31/2020
$80.80 – monthly union dues or $242.40 per quarter (active member)
- Class 9W: $28.25 – monthly union dues or $84.75 per quarter (active member
- Steward Dues: 7/1/2019-6/30/2020 wages greater than $24.78 per hour - $67.12/mo.$201.36/qtr.
- Steward Dues: 7/1/2020-12/31/2020 wages greater than $25.55 per hour - $69.38/mo.$208.14/qtr.

- Retired Member: $23.50 – monthly union dues or $70.50 per quarter (active retiree)
- Reduced Dues Rate: 7/1/2019-6/30/2020 (member in good standing is eligible if registered on out-of-work list for 3 consecutive months): $44.75 - monthly union dues
- Reduced Dues Rate: 7/1/2020-12/31/2020 (member in good standing is eligible if registered on out-of-work list for 3 consecutive months): $46.25 - monthly union dues
Note: **Any members that have auto pay direct with IUOE #9 and DO NOT HAVE IT ON FILE (e-check or credit card) will need to call the dues office at 303/623-3194 @ ext. 11, ext. 20 or ext. 19 and authorize the increase to their account. M-F 7-5 every year when dues increase. ****

Welcome, you have arrived at the home page of Operating Engineers Local Union No, 9. Local 9 have been serving the needs of Operating Engineers in Colorado for over 60 years. We have offices to serve our members and employers in Denver, Pueblo, and Grand Junction. Together with our employers, Local 9 has the best Apprenticeship and Journeyman Training program in Colorado. Our goal is to provide continued training and upgrading skills for our members. The challenge of the changing construction industry in Colorado will be met by Local 9 through training, education and organizing. To our IUOE #9 Members,
We know the last few weeks have been a whirlwind and we are keeping everyone in our thoughts. Working together as a community we will all be stronger on the other side of this. We know it is important to do our part to keep our members safe for your family and ours. It is important as members to be adaptable in these types of situations and still meet the expectations of our employers. In accordance with current COVID-19 guidelines, we temporarily have not had any issues at our COLORADO locations beginning today, Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 and ask if you need to contact us directly that you call or email. However, we are still here for you.

It is important to us that because of this everyone stay safe and we are canceling ALL of our Membership Meetings for the month of April 2020. All travelers are expected to check in and out of the jurisdiction when performing work in Colorado.
Travel dues:
6/30/2019-6/27/2020 are $20.65/week
6/28/2020-12/26/2020 are $21.35/week
While performing work each week. You may have your employer deduct and remit the Travel dues to IUOE #9 @ 990 Kalamath St, Denver, CO 80204 to do so you will need to fill out, sign & complete this form:
