TRAINING
ATTENTION:
During the winter months we may experience weather conditions that may interfer with the safety of training and operation of equipment. The weather may also require us to close the training site or cancel classes. Due to the location of the traiining site and the distance that many members have to travel to get there. If there is any question due to weather that may effect the training program please call the training site or office the day before by 3:00pm for information regarding training. If you leave a message and recieve no return call on a severe weather day, the training site may have previously been closed due to weather. JOURNEYMEN AND APPRENTICE OPERATORS CAN CALL THE TRAINING SITE TO RESERVE A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT FOR TESTING, PRACTICE OR FOR TRAINING, RESERVATIONS DEPEND UPON THE AVAILIBILITY OF AN INSTRUCTOR AND THE PARTICULAR PIECE OF EQUIPMENT.
Attention Apprentice's: When you are scheduled for a class and can not attend, it is necessary that you contact Mercedes (303-623-3194 Ext. 19) and cancel before 4:00pm on Friday the day before the class. If you fail to do so, 4 hours will be docked form your training!
NOTICE TO ALL APPRENTICES:
THE APPRENTICESHIP HAS HAD APPRENTICES LEAVE THE PROGRAM AND NOT RETURN THE RIGGING WORKBOOK OR THE CRANE OPERATOR WORKBOOK. SEVERAL APPRENTICES HAVE LOST WORKBOOKS AND THE APPRENTICESHIP HAS HAD TO REPLACE THEM. BECAUSE OF THIS, THE APPRENTICESHIP NOW FINDS IT NECESSARY TO CHARGE A DEPOSIT FOR THE WORKBOOKS.
WORKBOOKS PRICE LIST:
Workbooks may be purchased at cost. Workbooks may be checked out. The deposit will be the price of the workbook. When the workbook is returned, in good condition, the deposit money will be refunded.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: OSHA has change their policy on the 10-hour OSHA. We are now limited to 7 1/2 hours of training per day. The class will now be taught on 2 separate days. We will be trying different formats to accomadate the two day class, so pay close attention to the 2012 schedule for the OSHA 10 hour class.
MSHA:
To take a 8-hour MSHA class, you will need to bring proof of 24 hour New Miner training or an 8 hour refresher within the last 3 years. no exceptions!
