Forklift Operation

This course will prepare the member in taking the Forklift Operator written examination with an opportunity to take the Forklift Operator Assessment. 

Spring Forklift Operator Qualifications:

 June 4, 2022. 

 

Advanced Rigger Qualification: 

Members will learn how to calculate the center of gravity of an object, determine sling angle and load tension on sling legs, discover the effects of a load share (2 crane picks) , and learn how to control a load during rotation. This course is a 40 hour hands on exercise, participation is required.

CCO Registration & Application Process: October 15, 2022.

This class will assist the member to understand the full requirements of certifying with the NCCCO and complete the required applications for the written exams. This is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended for members not recertifying.

CJAT TRAINING INFORMATION

Training is open only to IUOE Local 9 Journeymen and Apprentices 

All Apprentices and Journeyman must have a PAID-to-Date Union Dues Receipt with them to use the Training Site. Training starts at 7:00 am and you must have reserved training train in advance(48 to 24 hours). Equipment will not be held if are not here by 7:00 am.

Training starts at 7:00 a.m. sharp if you are late your equipment will not be held for you and reservation voided. On Saturdays there is a mandatory safety meeting that starts at 7:00 am. If you miss the safety meeting  and do not have your paid-to-date Dues Receipt, you will not be able to train at the Site that day. You are expect to remain at training the training site for full day. This is not a come and go when you want training facility. Failure to remain will result in you  not be able to reserve equipment.

YOU MUST WEAR THE PROPER ATTIRE (BOOTS, LONG PANTS, AND EAR PROTECTION). YOU SHOULD ALSO CONSIDER WARM CLOTHES OR RAIN GEAR DEPENDING ON WEATHER CONDITIONS. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BOOTS OR LONG PANTS, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE EQUIPMENT.
