IUOE Local 9 is a Hoisting and Portable local that represents over 1,500 heavy equipment operators, mechanics, welders/fabricators, miners, and commercial drivers within Colorado. Our members work on bridges, tunnels, highways, processing plants, renewable energy generation, mines, utility distribution, pipelines, housing, and other key infrastructure projects that keep Colorado a thriving state. 

The Staff and Officers of Local 9 provide an array of services to the local membership, including the employment hiring hall, dispute/ CBA resolution, assistance with healthcare and pension requests, contract negotiations, and other support services while advocating for safe working conditions and reliable compensation.
